THE METHOD
A curriculum drawn from the people who do this best.
Over six months, our public speaking courses for kids build voice, story, and leadership through live practice and online showcases.
Presence and voice
Posture, breath, eye contact, and control of pitch, pace, and pause, drawing on performance and voice work including Vinh Giang’s approach.
Story and connection, TED style
Students learn to open, develop one clear idea, and connect with an audience, drawing on ideas from Chris Anderson, Nancy Duarte, and Dale Carnegie. They write, refine, and deliver talks filmed for their portfolio.
Persuasion and leadership
Students practice speaking with purpose, leading a team, and pitching an idea, including ideas from Simon Sinek’s Start With Why. The work closes with a Shark Tank style pitch. Listening, responsibility, and integrity run throughout the program.
Reading and writing are woven through every month, helping students think, write, and express ideas with clarity. We offer public speaking for teens live online across California, including Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, the Bay Area, Sacramento, and El Dorado Hills.
