A CLEAR, SUPPORTIVE ADMISSION PROCESS
How Enrollment Works at The Learners Pathway
Choosing the right learning support for your child should not feel confusing or rushed. At The Learners Pathway, we begin by understanding your child’s writing, confidence, communication, learning habits, and parent concerns before recommending the right program.

Discovery Call
We listen to your concerns, goals, and what your child is experiencing right now.

Writing Assessment
We review writing level, confidence, clarity, and skill gaps to understand where support is needed.

Parent + Student Insight
We consider home environment, school feedback, learning habits, and the child's overall needs.

Right Program Placement
We recommend the best next step so your child can grow with confidence, structure, and independence.

Discovery Call
The process begins with a free 15-minute discovery call. This is a short conversation where we listen to what you are noticing at home and school.
If the discovery call shows that your child may benefit from a deeper review, we move to a child assessment where we look at the child more holistically so we can understand their mindset, academic relationship, confidence, and literacy foundation.

Before the live assessment, we may ask parents to share:
Recent writing samples
School reports or academic updates
Teacher feedback
Learning plans or individualized plans from school
Any recent portfolio pieces
Any other records that help us understand the child’s current learning experience

Student Assessment
The child assessment is a 30-minute Zoom assessment and interview with the student. During this session, we speak with the child, observe how they think, and review where they are in their literacy and communication foundation.

We look at:
Sentence structure
Paragraph organization
Grammar and punctuation
Idea development
Writing confidence
Reading confidence
Thinking skills
Communication skills
Public speaking confidence
Missing skills or learning gaps

Parent Meeting
After the child assessment, we meet with the parents for a 40-minute Zoom meeting.

During the parent meeting, we discuss:
-
Your child’s unique strengths
-
Your goals and expectations
-
Learning habits at home
-
Screen time and home routines
-
Confidence, focus, and follow-through
-
Patterns parents have noticed over time
-
Any past learning concerns or support received
Since we work with parents as partners during the program, this meeting helps us see the full picture, not just the writing sample or assessment result. It allows us to understand the child’s learning environment and recommend support with more care and accuracy.

Right Program Recommendation
After we understand your child’s needs, strengths, mindset, confidence, and academic foundation, we recommend the best program fit.
