EVENTS & MOMENTS
Where learning steps off the screen and onto the stage.
Showcases, workshops, book celebrations, real audiences. Some of the best things our children do happen in a room full of people — and families are always part of it.
WHAT’S COMING UP
Come and see us.
Upcoming events.
Every event below is free and open to families who are curious about us. No commitment, no pitch — just a real look at how we work.

WHAT WE’VE ALREADY DONE
Eight years of real rooms, real stages, real children.
These aren’t concepts. They happened — with families in the audience and children holding work they made themselves.

THE RED CARPET BOOK SHOWCASE
The night our students became published authors.
An actual red carpet, an actual audience, and children walking it holding books with their own names on the cover. Parents cried. So did we. It remains the proudest evening we run.

READING & WRITING WORKSHOPS
Small rooms where children found their voice.
Dozens of hands-on sessions over the years — reading closely, writing out loud, arguing well. The children who arrive quietest are usually the ones who surprise everyone by the end.

PARENT LITERACY SESSIONS
Evenings for the grown-ups.
Because a child’s reading life is built at home too. Practical sessions on how to help without hovering — and what to say when your child says they hate writing.

LIBRARY & COMMUNITY EVENTS · SPELLING BEE
Out in the community, not just online.
Reading events at local libraries, community sessions for families who’d never met us, and sponsoring a regional Spelling Bee — because literacy is worth showing up for in public.
Photographs are shared only where families have given consent. Our events history begins in Edmonton, where the academy was built — the same events now run for California families.
WHY WE DO THIS
Confidence isn’t taught. It’s earned in front of people.
A child can write well in private and still not believe they’re any good. What changes that is standing up, being listened to, and being celebrated for something they actually made.
So we build real stages, real audiences, and real deadlines — and we make sure families are in the room to see it happen.
Come to something. Or just talk to us.
Our events are the easiest way to see how we work — no commitment at all. And if you’d rather just have a conversation about your child, that’s always open too.
