HOW ENROLLMENT WORKS

Choosing the right path for your child should feel calm and clear.

So here is the whole journey, start to finish. It begins with a conversation, moves at your pace, and is guided the entire way.

EVERY STEP, IN FULL

So you always know exactly what comes next

1

STEP ONE

The discovery call

A warm, no-pressure conversation of about twenty minutes.

You tell us what you’re noticing — what’s going well, what’s worrying you, what you hope for your child. We listen. There’s nothing to prepare; it’s simply the two of us getting acquainted and seeing whether this feels right.

No commitment, and no cost — this first step is always free.

2

STEP TWO

Getting to know your child

A gentle conversation with your child — so we can truly see them.

During our live 60-minute counselling and assessment session, we spend real time with your child to understand how they think, their relationship with reading and writing, and how confident they feel expressing themselves. It’s warm and conversational, a chance for them to be seen, not a test to pass. Children usually leave it feeling listened to.

Your child will submit their writing for assessment prior to the live counselling session.

3

STEP THREE

A parent conversation

The deeper conversation that sets us apart.

After we speak to your child, during the same live 60-minute counselling and assessment session, we sit down with you to understand the whole picture — how your child learns, the rhythms of home, the patterns you’ve noticed, and what you most expect for them. We do this because the best teaching happens when we and you are true partners from the start.

This is the holistic care that makes The Learners Pathway different — and it begins before your child’s first class.

4

STEP FOUR

The right program & placement

A recommendation built around who your child actually is.

Towards the end of the live counselling session, after we understand your child, we recommend the program and the level that fit them. We’ll explain why, answer every question, and only move forward when you feel good about it.

If we’re not the right fit for your child, we’ll tell you honestly — and point you toward what might be.

5

STEP FIVE

Beginning at TLP

A welcome, not a drop-off.

We complete a simple enrollment and then walk your family through everything — how classes run, how we’ll stay in touch, and what to expect in the first weeks. Your child is welcomed in with care, so their very first class feels familiar rather than daunting.

From here on, you’re never guessing — we keep you in the loop the whole way.

WHY THE PROCESS FEELS DIFFERENT

Most places take a payment and start the next day. We take the time to understand your whole child first.

The care you feel in this process is not a nice extra — it’s the same care that runs through every class afterward. How we begin is the first honest proof of how we teach.

BEFORE YOU TAKE THE FIRST STEP

A few things to set your mind at ease

It’s free to begin

The discovery call costs nothing, and there’s no obligation to go further.

We’ll be honest about fit

If this isn’t right for your child, we’ll say so kindly — no hard sell, ever.

You’re guided throughout

Every step is explained as it comes, so you’re never left guessing what’s next.

It all starts with one warm conversation.

Nothing to prepare. Just book a time, and we’ll take it from there — gently, and at your pace.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROCESS

How long does the whole process take?

For most families, a week or two from the first call to the program placement — but there’s no clock. We move at whatever pace feels right for you, and it’s completely fine to take your time.

Is there any cost or commitment to start?

None. The discovery call and getting to know your child are free, and you’re under no obligation to enroll. You only decide anything once you’ve met us and understand exactly what we’re recommending and why.

What if it’s not the right fit?

Then we’ll tell you, warmly and honestly. We’d far rather send a family toward what truly helps their child than enroll someone we’re not right for. An honest “not us” is part of the care, not a failure.

Does my child need to prepare or “study” for anything?

Not at all. Nothing about this is a test, and there’s nothing to revise or cram for. Every conversation is about understanding your child as they are — the most helpful thing they can do is simply come as themselves.

What happens after we enroll?

We guide your family through everything — how classes run, how we’ll keep in touch, and what to expect in the first weeks — and welcome your child in with care. From there you receive regular progress updates and always have a direct line to your child’s teacher.
